Last #7WWR dinner before the Summer

Last modified date

Dear #7wwr lovers,

For those of you who haven’t heard of the #7wordwinereview dinners in London, you’re in for a treat.  Approaching the end of our 3rd year now, we meet in London regularly for dinner and each bring along our own bottle of wine with a budget of up to £20. That’s not to say we don’t see the occasional bottled of rare port, delicious limoncello or First Growths make an appearance.

We use our collective contacts and group power to book restaurants with good food, that will drop their prices for us and most importantly waive their corkage charges.

That said, and like I always said, the #7wwr is bigger than me and this blog – and the usual suspects galvanised behind Hich aka @hpfelter – as they enjoyed their last dinner at Flat Iron in Covent Garden…What a treat….(Thanks for organising Hich)….

This month the dinner is on the 28 of July. This will be the last until we reconvene from the summer holidays. It will be held at Polpo at the Ape and Bird (124 Shaftesbury Avenue)  and they’ve very kindly given us a table that could accommodate only 20 people. T

he 7 Word Wine Review dinners are open to all but available spots will be offered first to all the regulars.  Hitch aka Hicham Felter aka @hpfelter has very kindly arranged the following for us:
£25 a head for the Spring (see photo) menu available in a vegetarian option (payable directly to the restaurant). Of course FREE CORKAGE is applied. Please get in touch with either Hitch or myself through Twitter to confirm your space.

I would of course like to take this opportunity to Hich and Pete for having organised dinners in the past. Since having become a dad, they have very much picked up the slack and ensured that the dinners and the fun continues (with or without me)….
