The March #7wwr Dinner

#7wordwinereview, #7wwr

For those of you who haven’t heard of the #7wordwinereview dinners in London, you’re in for a treat.

Approaching the end of our 3rd year now, we meet in London regularly for dinner and each bring along our own bottle of wine with a budget of up to £20. That’s not to say we don’t see the occasional bottled of rare port, delicious limoncello or First Growths make an appearance.

We use our collective contacts and group power to book restaurants with good food, that will drop their prices for us and most importantly waive their corkage charges.

I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to a lot of the regulars. Since finding out Mrs 12 was pregnant to having Junior has prevented me from organising the last few dinners.

That said, and like I always said, the #7wwr is bigger than me and this blog – and the usual suspects galvanised behind Pete aka @Pudjus – as they enjoyed their last dinner at La Blanchette in Soho…What a treat….(Thanks for organising Pete)….

wine blog This month the dinner is on the 24th March. It’s at The Flat Iron Steak in Covent Garden (17-18 Henrietta St, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8QH) and they’ve very kindly given us the West Dinning Room.

Given the size of the room we are sadly only limited to 20 people. The 7 Word Wine Review dinners are open to all but available spots will be offered first to all the regulars.

Hitch aka Hicham Felter aka @hpfelter has very kindly arranged the following for us:

£20 a head for 1 steak + 2 sides and a sauce (payable directly to the restaurant). Followed by Ice Cream….and of course FREE CORKAGE
Please get in touch with either Hitch or myself through Twitter to confirm your space.
