First #7wordwinereview Dinner of 2015

(#7wwr Dinner – Cocomomo Holborn – Thursday, 26/02) – Cost of the Event is £25

12×75 is pleased to announce our first dinner of 2015.

If you are looking for an evening of unpretentious fun with good food, great wine and even better company, then the #7wordwinereview dinners could be right up your street.

In our 3rd year now, we meet in London for dinner regularly and each bring our own bottle of wine with a budget of up to £20. That’s not to say we don’t see the occasional bottled of rare port of delicious limoncello make an appearance.

This month we shall be meeting at Cocomomo, Holborn. The cost of the event (paid directly to the restaurant on the night) is £25 and this includes the below menu and free corkage:

 Honey & walnut, Ciabatta bread, Sough dough

Balsamic, oils & Italian olives

 A selection of our tapas

 Flambe’ Chorizo & squid

Fajita Chicken skewers with chorizo salsa relish

Smoked applewood & cheddar cheese, jalepeno quesadilla

1. Ribeye steak with pan fried new potatoes, French beans & peppercorn sauce
2. Roasted salmon fillet, baby leaves, red peppers, shitake mushroom, spring onion, tomato chilli salsa
3. Roasted pear salad, walnut, chicory, baby leaf spinach, stilton, lemon & honey dressing

Bishop blue stilton cheese, mature cheddar, goats cheese, caramelised onion chutney with bread & crackers

The event starts at 7pm and the restaurant would like to have us seated by 7:45pm at the very latest.

On a personal note, at our last dinner 2 people left without paying. I was tempted to name and shame them, however I’ve decided not to. As you can imagine the restaurant were not too thrilled and nor was Mrs 12 when she heard I picked up their tab. To avoid either her or the restaurant being upset again, Cocomomo have decided to take payment as soon as everyone sits down. /Vim
